「サイアノタイプ」という古典写真技法を使い、青のグラデーションで海と空を模倣しています。
その海は晴れた朝の水面がキラキラ見える海かもしれないし、寒い雪降る日本海かもしれない。
海と空を構成するこれらの青の一枚一枚は、展示期間中不定期に位置を変えていきます。どの青も空の一部にも海の一部にもなり得る。
「自分自身を含めあらゆるものは素粒子で構成され、ゆらぎ続けている。目の前のコップは、私がコップと認識する状態に今あるにすぎず、状態も認識も変化し続けている。」
やがて自分も、目の前にあるコップも失われるけれど、その粒のひとつはやがて海の粒になって、眺める誰かの気持ちを穏やかにするかもしれない。
Imitation of the sea using the classic photographic method known as ‘cyanotype.’ The imitated sea could be the one reflecting sunshine on a sunny morning or the cold Japanese sea during snowfall.
These blues will change location during the exhibition, making each blue a part of the sea and the sky simultaneously.
Everything in this world, including me, is composed of elementary particles that keep fluctuating and changing states. The cup in front of me is just a state that I recognize as such, and both the state and the recognition keep changing.
Before long, both the cup and I will be lost, but one of the grains will become part of the sea, helping someone gazing at it feel at ease.
